Meet our Staff

Message from Mrs Sarah Rowe, Headteacher

The Mosley Academy, Anslow is a very special and vibrant place to learn and grow. It is held in high affection by many - pupils, teachers, parents, the village and the local community and we are very proud of our school.

We are a thriving village primary school of 211 children, aged between 4 and 11, who are taught in seven classes. We have six full time class teachers, as well as  two part-time teachers. Each class has a teaching assistant available to support the children's learning, especially in English and Maths. They also support a number of quality interventions and enrichment sessions across the school.

We have a strong creative approach to meeting the needs of all our children and our curriculum is enriched by a variety of opportunities through music, art, drama, literature, visiting authors and poets, history days, a wide range of educational visits, concerts, visiting theatre companies and so, so much more.

We want our children to be happy, to enjoy school, to feel safe and to be inspired to achieve the highest outcomes possible. We value them, we like them, we are interested in them, we talk to them and they talk to us. They trust us and we enjoy being with them.  Their well-being and mental health is so important to us, and we have recently achieved the Well-Being Award for Schools (WAS) showcasing the excellent work that we do here to support each other.

We strongly believe that children deserve to experience a quality childhood, including all the magic and wonder that a happy and memorable childhood should bring. We value our local community and work closely with our parents and families, and with the village in which we lie.

If you would like to visit our school or learn some more about the wonderful opportunities that we provide, please don't hesitate to call or email, we will do our best to answer your questions. If you are interested in applying for a place at our school, please contact us and we will be happy to give you a school tour so as you can see for yourself our lovely school ethos.

A little information about me. I have a strong personal and professional connection with the school that began when I was a pupil in the original school building in the 1980's!  Being a child at the school was where my ambition began, in Mrs Baker's class, to one day become a teacher at the school when I was a grown up!

In 2003, this dream came true. I was offered my second teaching position of my career at the beloved Mosley.  During this time we moved in to the new school building, creating memories, transitioning to the new facilities, designing our classrooms yet maintaining the warm and positive ethos of the school. After a memorable 9 years at Mosley, my career progressed and following two headships in other schools, I am finally back at Mosley as the Headteacher.

I am immensely proud to be the Head of such a wonderful school. I am very much looking forward to seeing our school develop and continue to be the best school that we can be for children, staff and the community.
