Message from Mr James Gardner, Chair of Governors

Dear Parents/Carers,

My name is Jim Gardner, and I am currently the Director of Safeguarding Standards and Culture (DSSC) at The JCB Academy, working in a Deputy Headship role. I have been in education all my life, and I am passionate about making a difference and changing lives. My values and ethos strongly align with the Mosley Academy and as a local professional, I take a great interest in the community's education, especially working with the John Taylor Multi Academy Trust (JTMAT).

I have formerly been a governor for a JTMAT primary school which has given me a great foundation and platform to fulfil the role as Chair of Governors, which I have now held at The Mosley Academy from September 2022.

I have always been driven to achieve a career in education with a background as a PE teacher, progressing through to pastoral work and senior leadership. So I hope this gives you great trust and confidence in myself and the governance team that every decision will always be made with the children at the forefront of the mind with a view to maximise opportunities and change lives.
