Consultation on Admission Arrangements for 2027/2028

The John Taylor Multi Academy Trust wishes to formally consult on the admission arrangements for the academic year 2027/2028 for The Mosley Academy.

We are not proposing any changes to the current arrangements. However, your views are important to us, and we welcome any comments you may have before the arrangements are formally approved.  Please refer to the Admissions Arrangements 2027/2028 document below.

The consultation period will run from Monday 3rd November 2025 to Monday 15th December 2025 (a full six weeks).

Once the consultation closes, the Governing Body will meet to consider all responses and determine the final admission arrangements. These must be formally approved by 28 February 2026, and published on the school website by 15 March 2026.

PARENT TOURS FOR SEPTEMBER 2026 ADMISSIONS

The Local Authority are the admission officers for the school. Therefore if you wish to apply for a Reception place for September 2026 you need to contact the Local Authority Admissions Department on 01785 278593. We encourage you to make on line applications at: www.staffordshire.gov.uk/admissions/forms

If you wish your child to start school here in September 2026, please email or telephone the school office with your details so that we can book you a place on our upcoming school tours.

If your child is offered a place at The Mosley Academy you will receive notification during the April before they are due to begin school. We will write to you and invite you to bring your child to our induction sessions.  You will also get the opportunity to meet your child's teacher.

At the induction sessions we will talk to you about your child's first year at Mosley and there will be an opportunity for you to order school uniform and to ask any questions.

Following this meeting, if you feel you need to talk to us privately about your child, you may make an appointment to meet with the Headteacher and class teacher or SENDCO.
